Occupation: Business Services
Marital Status: Divorced No. of Children: 3 From Marla: Ok, time to get this done. Where do you start? After High School I married Troy Beaty, he joined the Navy, during those years we lived outside of Memphis for a while and then Virginia Beach, VA. We moved back to MN in 1994. We lived in Southern MN (hated it), Central MN (loved it) before I was drug back home to Grand Rapids in 1998. During those years we had 3 incredibly awesome kids. My oldest Aisha is 18 and has just finished her 3rd year of college (post secondary at ICC, then UMD). My son is 15 and my youngest daughter is 13. Those of you with teenagers can appreciate the hectic schedule. They are beautiful, smart, and so much better than I was at their ages! Troy and I joined the divorce statistics after 12 yrs of marriage, in 2001 and went our separate ways. |

As my wife mentioned in her bio, we have been married for 16 years. It is hard to believe she still laughs at my stupid humor. My two daughters could be the two funniest people I have ever known. I feel very blessed for what I have. I am managing a golf course in Tower and we live in Cook. It is good to be back in the North Country and I look forward to seeing most of you in August. |

Occupation: early childhood teacher
Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 6 From Angela: Hi to everyone!! Wow alot sure happens in 20 years. I got married 1991 to Bill (GR) We had 2 children together Heather (17) Trevor (would be 14). we divoriced 5 years later. I then married my husband Jeff. We have been married for 11 years. We have 2 sons together Alan(10) and Chandler (8) Jeff has 2 children Anna (14) and Andrew (16). We are very busy. In 2001 my son Trevor had to have a bone marrow transplant. We lived at the Ronald Mcdonald House for 5 months. We lost Trevor in November of that year due to complications. Nothing changes your perspective on life then having to plan and bury your child. I thank God everyday for my friends and family that He has placed in my life for support. Jeff and I live in Coleraine, my children are Greenway Raiders!!! My daughter will often tell her friends "yea can you believe it my mom went to rapids!" Greenway pride runs thick here. I currently teach at St. Joseph's School. I love my job and the children that I spend time with (50, 3 - 5 year olds) I hope to see some old friends at the reunion. |

Occupation: Catholic Priest
Website: latinmassomaha.org From Fr. John: Sure wish I had posted my info a few months ago rather than the day before the reunion. Better late than never, right? I didn't graduate from GRHS because we moved to Winona, Minn. at the beginning of 11th grade. I spent the first 16 years of my life with all of you, though, so I consider myself an Indian at heart (what's a Thunderhawk anyway??). I graduated from U of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in Forestry and worked for 5 years in the Black Hills of South Dakota -- which I thoroughly enjoyed. Whether it was too much time in the woods or my year of Kindergarten at St. Joe's, I entered the seminary in 1997 to study for the priesthood. I was ordained a priest in 2004 for the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter and have been assigned in Omaha, Nebraska since then. To stay in shape I took up ice hockey, so I guess you can't ever really get Grand Rapids out of your blood. It is a no-check and no-fighting league (what else for a priest?) but that didn't stop me from dislocating my shoulder a couple of years ago (see "now" picture). Of course the first team I was assigned to was called the Devils. I was back for the GR 10 year reunion and had a blast. I was planning to come for this one, too but I came down with pneumonia 2 weeks ago and am still recovering. How about doing it again in 5 years, to commemorate a quarter century? It seems like quite a few couldn't make it this time and 10 years seems too long to wait in my *humble* opinion. In the meantime, send an email -- I'd enjoy connecting again. Thanks for the great website. I'll probably be adding a few Middle chool memories myself. |
