It is so much fun to read everyone's bio's!!

My life the past 20 years in a nutshell...
Went to ICC for 2 years then transferred to Bemidji State for 2 more, I receive a degree in Elementary Education.  I worked various jobs in GR, got married to Mark Schroeder in 1996, had Adam in 97, Maya 99, and Claire in 2004.  We live out in the woods...a little different from being in town my whole life, but I love it.  I taught PE at St. Josephs School for 6 years and just started as HRO at the Grand Rapids Middle School, dealing with truant kids, it is quite a change from the St. Joe's kids.  I get a chance to work closely with Nancy Dumm and Teresa Jesperson which is great!
Kids keep me busy!  Can't wait to see everyone in August!

From Dave:

I felt young before finding this site…now I am extremely feeling old! After graduating from St. John's, I moved to the Twin Cities to see if any poor soul would hire me. I ended up in the computer industry and after a long consulting run, I settled into an IT Manager position.

I met my wife Lynn at college and we married in 1995. We have three children 9, 6, and 3.

My parents moved away from GR and became 612ers in 2001 so I don't get to GR as often as I used to. However, Lynn is from Cook so we spend quite of bit of time in the northland on the lake.

Looking forward to seeing all of you again!

Life is good.  My husband, John, and I have two wonderful little girls that are happy and healthy.  We live in the country (not so good on days they spread manure on the fields, though) and have room for them to run and play.  Sometimes the yard is full of children, as I do part-time child care.  I also decorate cakes and cookies.

I attended the College of St. Scholastica and started subbing in February 1992 in GR, Greenway, Floodwood, McGregor, and Hill City.  I was hired full-time in McGregor and taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and then 2nd grade.  John and I had dated while I was in college.  We reconnected in 1999 and I moved to South Carolina where he was working.  There I taught 3rd grade before Maria and Ruby were born.  We have since moved to Wisconsin so the girls can be closer to their grandparents in GR and Duluth.  It is cold and windy here—a far cry from winter in South Carolina.  (Some day I’m moving back!!)  People there are wonderful, too.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing all the changes at the reunion.  It should be a lot of fun.  See you soon!

greetings to all-
After high school, I moved to Minneapolis and spent  the summer traveling for  work.  Didn't make any money, but had a great time and met lots of lifelong friends.  I also met John Andrews(class of 1986) and moved in with him two weeks later.  We spent the next couple of years in Mpls where our son, Mikail, was born in 1992. We then moved back to G.R. where we attended I.C.C.  I got my L.P.N in 1994 and we moved back to Mpls where I worked at a home for people with mental health issues.  Got burnt out on nursing real quick, so pursued my second "career" waitressing.   Been doing it ever since.
We moved back to G.R. when our son was ready for school. We enjoy traveling when we can.   Went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans a few years ago {pre-Katrina} and then in 2001, we went to Amsterdam for a couple weeks.  I would reccommend that every one spend time in Europe, it's beautiful.
In the last few years, I've become very political, and last March I had the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C.;  I, along with about 30,000 other people,  marched on the Pentagon in protest of the war in  Iraq. What an exciting time.   The other highlight of the trip was the  chance to see the legendary folk-singer  and peace activist, Pete Seeger and family at the Library of Congress.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, going to concerts ,gardening and spending time with my family and our 4 dogs and 2 cats.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

From Michael (Mike):

Good job on the website. It's been very nice to read about everyones adventures, accomplishments, and learning about what everyone is up to now.

I  missed the 10 year, but it sounded like it was held in classic 88 style.  School buses and keggers, never did hear if any law enforcement was involved.

I went to vo-tech for electronics, and married Kim Brink - G.R. class of 90.  Kim is a free lance graphics designer. We married in 94 and had a son Tyler in 96 and daughter Michaela in 99.

We bounced around Eden Praire and Chanhassen for a few years until landing in Hastings for 6 years as I worked for the Praire Island Nuclear Power Plant.  I was hired with another classmate Mike Helland, we relived some good old times, and made some new ones.   After 12 years in the twin cities area, I took a position with Minnesota Power in 2002. We currently live North of Grand Rapids, and are in the process of fixing up an older home on a private lake.

A memorable travels moment since high school was standing on the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska enjoying a fresh Alaskan Amber with long time good friend Darin Jensen.  The road trip to Rocklahoma 07 was right up there though Fricks and Fideldys.

Thats about it, looking forward to reminissing and catching up this summer.
